A Few Words About Joe's Body Art

cassette motors, ball point pen parts, toothbrushes and guitar strings. He worked with these primitive machines for about 10 years learning the techniques of working, drawing and painting on skin. In 1991 he made the decision to go pro machines and live his dream of making a living doing art.

   In 1994 Joe was vacationing in Dallas and got hired on as a full time tattoo artist at the Skin Art Gallery. He worked for the summer and then came back to Kansas ready to open his own shop. His first shop was in Arkansas City. He did that for about a year before moving to Coffyville and opening a new shop called Magoo's Tattoo Works. While there he bought a

 
   Having been interested and pursued various art forms for most of his life, Joe McGill discovered the ultimate art in 1980, Tattooing! He learned the old fashioned way with homemade machines made of
second shop in Independence and maintained both for several years.

   In October 2004 he opened his present shop"Joe's Body Art." In the year and a half since opening Joe admits that business has grown considerably.
   "I do a lot of custom, one-of-a-kind designs and am more than willing to work with you until you get exactly what you want."
